Pocket App – Organize Your Favorite Content

I think it’s safe to say that there is a high demand for a real estate agent’s time and attention. There is also a steady stream of useful information flowing at REALTORS® to give them an edge. How do you keep track of articles you want read, but don’t have time to tackle at the moment you stumble across them?

Want to save our most recent blog post Setting the Record Straight (Again): The 3.8% Medicare Tax to read before bedtime? Need an easy way to reference the useful tips found in 5 Steps to Social Media Success? Or maybe you found a new recipe you want to try (you know, when you manage to squeeze an ounce of free time out of your day).

Now I don’t know about you, but my bookmarks are the digital equivalent of that one junk drawer (closet?) that everything gets shoved into for dealing with later. They have gotten so bad I don’t bother looking through them anymore, and cleaning them up is too much of a hassle. This is where Pocket comes in.

Founded in 2007 by Nate Weiner, Pocket is a service that allows you to save all the interesting tidbits you find across the web in one central location. Unlike bookmarks, Pocket gives you get a small preview of the things you save. All your favorite videos, articles, blog posts, and pictures can then be accessed from any of your devices and you can even read articles offline. Best part of all? It’s completely FREE!

Pocket is a breeze to use and is already integrated into other popular apps like Flipboard. There are extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox that allow you to easily save pages with the click of a button. Alternatively, you can email a link to Pocket and it will save it to your personal… well, Pocket.

The interface itself is beautiful and makes reading very easy on the eyes. But you don’t have to take my word for it, see for yourself. Here are a few shots of the iPhone app in action.
